Dana Catherine Schweer is the President and Founder of DC-Digital. She has spent her career working with Fortune 500 companies on cause marketing campaigns, including The Walt Disney Company, Lucasfilm, Macy's, Lionsgate, YUM! Brands, and Pepsico. She has also worked with independent New York-based companies, including Pearl River Mart, NYFF, and Shakespeare & Co, as well as nonprofit organizations including Equality Now. Her experience includes comprehensive digital marketing and communications strategy, branding, cause campaigns, social media expertise, and corporate development and partnerships management.
Previously, she spent two years as Assistant Director of Corporate Partnerships at The U.S. Fund for UNICEF, where she helped shape the brand and drove fundraising and awareness for UNICEF with Star Wars: Force for Change, which raised more than $8 million. Prior, she spent two years at the March of Dimes Foundation national headquarters as Manager of Marketing and Social Media, where she drove multiple fundraising and awareness campaigns including March for Babies, Shop for a Cause, and World Prematurity Day. She also spent two and a half years as an Associate Partnerships Manager for the United Nations World Food Programme, initiating and creating a partnership with Lionsgate around The Hunger Games film, helping raise over $3 million.
Dana earned a Master of Public Policy from Duke University with a focus in global public policy, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from Florida State University: political science, with a minor in sociology, and international affairs, with a minor in economics. She is passionate about digital marketing and communications, and social media. She is an avid traveler, having been to 26 countries and 25 U.S. states. Dana abd her husband Nate live on the Upper West Side in New York City with their two dachshunds, Siena and Alila.
